Facebook Buys Location App Glancee:
"Glancee allowed you to discover people around you, but the product never really took off. The team will be joining Facebook to work on other products that rely on location, I’m sure. Perhaps it can help the social network come up with technology that doesn’t drain your battery when you use a location app like Glancee.
Facebook’s been busy this year, adding yet another hungry startup to the ranks of the company. Along with Glancee, Facebook has acquired Instagram and Gowalla in recent months."
